MARC LYNCH It is with unbearable heartbreak and sadness we announce the passing of Marc Robert Lynch on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. He leaves to mourn wife Sylvia, children Grace and Jackson, stepsons Harley (Catherine and their daughter Haylee) and Samuel. He is also survived by his parents Robert and Shirley Lynch, brother Shaun (Beth) of Zurich, Switzerland and his grandmother Edna Lynch of Regina, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph Lynch of Nanaimo, B.C. along with Otis and Mabel Ayers of Fairmont, Minnesota USA. Marc worked as an Actuary for a short time before starting at Randall Plumbing and Heating in 1996. He began his work there as an accountant and then eventually became Partner/President of the Company. While Marc was very proud of his many accomplishments including, being President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Manitoba (MCAM) as well as the many trade committees he served on, he was also a private man. Nothing gave Marc greater joy than being at home with his family laughing and watching a football game on TV. He had a great passion for collecting sports memorabilia, reading, music and enjoyed all sports but loved football most of all (go Cardinals!) Marc packed a lot into what will seem to us too short a life yet, was a generous soul who gladly shared what he knew with anyone who asked. What else can be said except goodbye for now. "Goodbye loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, mentor and friend. Words cannot express how much we will miss you." Our family also wishes to express our thanks to the HSC staff from GH7 and MICU wards for the care Marc received. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 11, 2016 at The Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd. followed by a light reception. There will be a private family internment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery with the family returning to the church afterward. Pallbearers: Shaun Lynch Wayne McKenzie Harley Howard Stewart Denby Samuel Howard Scott Rosenberg For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. Condolences & Memories (22 entries)

  • Marc has been a client of mine and advertised with me for 15 years. I am a big San Diego Chargers fan and of course he is all over the Arizona Cardinals. I would always look forward to our chats every few weeks about what he has now collected and some stories of facts about WHA or the history of some teams. I thought I knew a lot about sports, but Marc by far exceeded even my knowledge on the history of players and events. He was a great man that I loved doing business with which developed into a great friendship and for that I am extremely grateful. Jackson and my son were the same age and played 3 on 3 together during the past year and he was so very proud of his family life and going home working on some moves with Jackson. He will be sorely missed by all and I am so sorry that I wasn't able to attend his memorial as I just found out about his passing this morning. Please accept my condolensces Sylvia Jackson and Grace along with the rest of the Lynch family. Kevin Hughes - TSN1290 - Posted by: Kevin Hughes (Friend and business associate) on: Jan 25, 2016

  • I first met Marc on eBay, of all places! He bought a particular hockey card from me, that made me ask him what he was collecting. Turns out we had a common interest in that set! We soon developed a friendship and a kinship over our "hobby" (obsession/passion/whatever!). Marc even brought his son Jackson to my son Aiden's birthday party in 2014. We still have that rocket ship (from Chapters?) and the hand made card that Jackson did for Aiden. I will forever miss Marc, and our conversations about the hobby, hockey history, and life. Standing in the parking lot of St James Civic Centre after RRSCA meetings freezing our toes off for two hours while we talked hobby stuff are memories I will never forget. Marc never did get to pen his hockey history book we were talking about. :( Sylvia, Jackson, Grace... please let me know if you need anything from me. Jackson, if you need a hockey card buddy, I'm here for you, man. Nice to talk to you today (for the first time ever LOL) Sylvia. Take care. Every tomorrow will get a bit easier than today was. Marc, rest in peace buddy. I'll bust a box of cards for you one day soon! - Posted by: Robert W. Brown (Friend, Fellow Collector) on: Jan 20, 2016

  • My deepest sympathy and condolences to all of the Lynch family. I had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Marc through my years as Executive Assistant of the Construction Labour Relations Association of Manitoba (C.L.R.A.M). Whether I was talking on the phone to Marc confirming his attendance at our numerous Board Meetings/functions and/or contract negotiations over the years or in person, Marc always took the time to chat, was so upbeat and so kind. He was well respected and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May your cherished memories give you support through this very difficult time. - Posted by: Lorraine Clapham (Business) on: Jan 12, 2016

  • Annual meeting with Marc and his staff was something that I always looked forward to. Marc is a gentle spirit with the perfect combination of grit and grace. I loved to hear about the success of Randall Plumbing but truly cherished seeing Marc's face light up as he talked about Grace and Jack, their interests, their unique personalities, sharing always truth, stories of the heart. "Death is such a surprise and an adventure." (quote by Elizabeth Lesser) I wish this adventure to be a true gift for Marc. I will pray for your family, "Remove the veils so that I might see what is really happening here and not be intoxicated by my stories and fears" (also by Elizabeth Lesser) as you try to understand why and how this is your new reality. May love surround you during this difficult time that lies ahead. May you gain strength by staying connected to Marc's spirit that lives on. - Posted by: Debbie Styles (Financial Advisor for Randall Plumbing & Heating) on: Jan 12, 2016

  • We have known Marc for only a brief time and have always looked forward to the times we have met for business. An extraordinary gentleman and kind person, I cannot fathom how much he will be missed by his wife, children, family, and close friends. His presence will certainly leave a gap with us here; to have known Marc is a treasure. - Posted by: Helen Marshall-Adamietz (Contractor (US)) on: Jan 12, 2016

  • I met Marc over 20 years ago, and have such great memories of him, memories I will always cherish. Although we lost touch over the years, I always considered him a friend. I ran into him this past summer at Menchies, I was there with my mom and daughter and he was there with his children and their cousins. We hugged, we chatted and we were going to get together to catch up on all the news.....life of course gets busy and we never did get together......now I wish I was a little more persistant. Rest In Peace My Friend. You will be missed. My condolences to the Lynch Family. Jacqui Bell - Posted by: Jacqui Bell (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2016

  • I will never forget the conversations we had when he visited me at my store. Whether we talked about sports cards and collectibles, politics, his work or mine, the WHA, I was able to learn from him. I am very thankful that I got to meet Marc and know him, although for too short of a time. Praying for the family. Mike Bergmann - Posted by: Mike Bergmann (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2016

  • Marc. You were a quiet strength behind our Association - for many years. When you were elected President just last May, you created a vision of what and where MCAM should be. The Board of Directors was truly thrilled with what you had in mind. We will not drop the ball on this, Marc. We will endeavor to make it happen. We will cherish the work you have put into this industry and into this Association. On a personal note, you have been my strength through a very tumultuous time. You have left the legacy that you dreamt of with respect to the relocation of MCAM. This was a huge undertaking. You are going to be missed so very much by all of the members of MCAM. And our thoughts also go out to Jim Kazuk and Jamie McNabb,, past Directors of the Association who are no longer with us. It was wonderful to meet Sylvia at the Assiniboia Downs last August. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and your children, Grace and Jackson, and your parents, Bob and Shirley. • Marc, your life is far too short, but you will always be remembered. When you 1st decided to join the company with such a historic history (110 years) to which your father was a partner, you were actually excited. Your mentor (Laurie C.) taught you everything he knew on his lined graph paper and pencil figures, and before long you had Randall Plumbing in the 20th Century technological age. You became more confident in the mechanical trades of Manitoba. You treated the apprentices, Journeymen, and employees with respect and the firm became a growing Family. As the generational Partners moved on, your new Partners took the continuing growth of making Randall one of the intricate firms in the larger Institutional/ Commercial/ Residential construction field, with many friends & Associates. However, your Family was 1st, and the birth of each child was always very exciting and excelerating. Their Nuturing & Maturing was with pride & positive feelings. You treated golf as a challenge, always trying to beat your Father, and become very good at the sport, knowing that we both would never achieve this. My 1 & only Hole in One was met with more excitement from you, than I could ever accomplish. Your rise to President of Mechanical Contractors Association was with dedication & hard work. Your Admiration & Support of your brother in his world-wide accomplishments and continuing work were always with proud Family feelings. You will be remembered for your community minded efforts and thoughts of others. You will always be with us. Thanks for Sharing. - Posted by: Denis Brown ((Business Associate & Friend)) on: Jan 10, 2016
