I have nothing but good memories of Cory. He was a genuine guy who never judged. He was an amazing musician and loved to play for people. A few memories of Cory stand out in my mind as a tribute to his kind heart and genuine soul. I was getting a ride home with Cory from a social I believe it was and we were coming from Bishop Grandin onto River Road. A cyclist had fallen on the road and was bleeding badly from a wound to his head. Cory without hesitation took his shirt and offered it to wrap around the injured man's head. We were in grade 7 or 8 I believe. This selflessness was something I admired in Cory, it was something I aspired to. Other friends of his will I am sure agree that when you were with Cory in school or just hanging out he always made you feel accepted and respected. He treated you as anyone would want to be treated. He was a dear and cherished friend. Even though we fell out of touch for the most part aside from the occasional text of either Merry Christmas or Happy New year, I will always remember him as he was and as we all knew he was, a wonderful and caring guy who just wanted to be friends with you as much as you wanted to be friends with him. I will miss you man with all my heart and I will never forget the impact you had on my life. - Posted by: Sean Maguire (close school friend) on: Jan 14, 2016

I had the pleasure of growing up with Cory at Christ the King Elementary School. He has helped shaped many great childhood memories. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Kristin M (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2016

My name is Justine Peterson. Cory and I worked together at the Pasqua site in Moose Jaw SK. He was the most genuine, amazing person. Any time I was down, he was always there to pick me up and put me on the positive side of life. Words can't describe how much I miss you Cory. All the good times we had together just keep running through my head. Even when it was just you and I, the conversations we had are unforgettable. Only the good die young. I love you to the moon and back. I'm sorry I can't be there at your funeral. I know you understand tho. I will be having some beverages with you still :) Forever and always brother xoxoxo - Posted by: justine peterson (friend from work) on: Jan 11, 2016
