ERNEST EDGAR FLETT April 2, 1944 - January 22, 2016 It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing that Ernie peacefully passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 72, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his ever-loving spouse, Cindy Prince; his siblings, Kenny Flett, Ann Mazzor (nee Flett); and his children, Connie Chief, Fern Abelada, Leah Fontaine and son Edwin; stepchildren, Dana Prince, Clayton Prince, Cody Prince and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ernie was predeceased by his parents, Stanley Flett and Belinda Barbour (nee Kipling); siblings, Gloria Settee (nee Flett), Norma Flett and his brother Greg. Ernie retired after many years of service as an employee with the City of Winnipeg. Ernie's humour and kindness will be deeply missed by all his family, friends and those who knew him. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Scanterbury House of Prayers, 10 Bison Dr. E., in Brokenhead Ojibway Nation. Officiated by Pastor Ray Cornish.
