Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELINA PERRON It is with pain in our hearts that we announce the passing of Melina Perron, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Friday, January 22, 2016. Melina was born on May 28, 1918 in Kenora, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid, her son Marc, and her grandson, Randy. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Wilfrid (Marlene), Paul (Betty), Gerry, Raymond (Joyce), Rolly (Joyce), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Melina and her late husband Wilfrid owned and operated Perron and Sons Cartage for many years and she played an integral role that contributed to the success of the business. She enjoyed many years at the cottage with family and friends. A huge garden both at the cottage and her home in St. Boniface produced a bounty of food for all. She had a great sense of humour and was loved by all. She always had a kind word and never complained. Her door was always open and she had many close friends. A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at Actionmarguerite (St. Boniface) for their loving and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melina's honour to a charity of your choice. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to Melina's family. I will always remember her for her kindness, helpfulness and generosity as my next door neighbor. We became instant friends as she welcomed me to my first home. Her door was always open and I felt so blessed to have her on one side and Andy and Vera on the other. My surrogate grandparents. Those were good days. When I moved away we kept in touch for some time, but, eventually we lost touch. I have thought of her many, many times over the years, especially recently before her passing. She was an inspiration and a great, strong woman whom I will always have respect for. Melina will always have her own place in my heart. Rest in Peace dear Melina xoxo - Posted by: Elaine Siddall (former neighbor Roger Street) on: Feb 01, 2016

I'm so sorry to hear of Melina's passing. She was a great lady. Her and Julie always kept in touch. They would talk almost every day. Melina was a very caring person. Always passing along vegetables from her garden or baking matrimonial cake and oat meal cookies for us. She will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to the Perron family. - Posted by: Shirley Brygman Jones (Julie Perron's daughter-in-law) on: Jan 28, 2016
