Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROGER JULES LEMIRE It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Jules Lemire, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Roger passed at the St. Boniface Hospital, with family at his side, on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the age of 83. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Yvette Lemire, his children Suzanne, Paul (Lynn), Michele (Trevor), Doris, Marc (Lindsay), and Nicole, 10 grandchildren: Shawn, Stephanie, Michael, Christopher, Kevin, Danielle, Nicholas, Camille, Seve, and Tayler, one great-grandchild: Cameron, his sisters Therese Olivier, and Yvette Fenez, his brother Guy Lemire (Jeannine), and many nieces and nephews. Roger was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Anais Lemire, and his sister Lucie Bohemier. Roger was born in St. Pierre, Manitoba in 1933. Roger married his wife Yvette, of 59 years, in 1947 and raised their family in Winnipeg. Roger enjoyed family vacations to the Okanagan Valley, Black Hills and fishing the Detroit Lakes when his children were young. Family was first and foremost in Roger's life. He embraced those he cared for with unconditional love and support, and appreciated the simple pleasures. He enjoyed meeting his sisters and friends at the mall for weekly chats and coffee. Roger had a warm smile and a kind word for everyone .... he will be dearly missed! A celebration of Roger's life will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Riverside Lions Community Room on 188 Worthington Avenue from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.

I didn't get to see pepere a lot but all of my memories that I have of him have been very fond. I remember eating with him on my Hercules plate, and simply just sitting there watching TV enjoying each others company. I wish that I was able to see him more but I'm grateful for the time I did have with him and that I was able to see him this summer looking happy. I will always remember him and love him unconditionally forever. - Posted by: Nicholas Lemire (Grandson ) on: Feb 02, 2016
