Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) KENNETH FIDLER With family by his side, Bob passed away peacefully on January 23, 2016, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 67 years. Bob was born on February 5, 1948, in Winnipeg, MB. Leaving to cherish and miss him forever, are his loving wife Linda (nee McDougal); brother Allen (Stephie); sister Patricia Poole (Shawn); stepmother-in-law Emily; brothers-in-law, Bruce, Robert (Rhonda) and Gerry (Kaye); along with nieces and nephews, David, Jonathan, Amy, Tristan, Kieran, Lynda, Gerry, Troy and Taylor. Bob was predeceased by his mother Rachelle in 2010, his father Kenneth in 1973, his mother-in-law Simone in 1980 and his father-in-law Gerry in 2008. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army or CancerCare Manitoba.

Linda: Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Our family lived across the street from the Fidlers on Sydney Avenue (the Hanson's) while we were growing up. We mostly knew Bob and Allen and we do remember when Patricia was born. Our parents and other neighbors got together socially with the Fidlers from time to time and we always had a good time. We were neighbours many years ago, we moved away in 1966 and lost touch over the years. Then one day when I was at work I hear this voice that I had heard many times and there Bob was. I was so shocked to see him. I've always loved Bob and was very saddened to hear of his passing. May you know the entire Hanson family sends heartfelt condolences to you all.
