DOREEN JULIA LEONARD Passed away peacefully at Riverview Medical Centre on January 28, 2016, at the age of 74. Doreen is now in the arms of her beloved daughter Andrea, who predeceased her in 2010. She leaves behind her husband Kevin, of 50 years, devoted daughter Sandra who cared for her during her last months, son-in-law John, step-granddaughter Kirsten, as well as many friends and extended family members. She was also predeceased by her treasured mother Doris and father Gerald. Doreen, we will miss you so much but you will be forever in our hearts. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the staff from palliative care, Riverview and CancerCare Manitoba for the kindness and support they showed Doreen. Our deepest gratitude to her family doctor, Marlie du Plessis for going above and beyond to support our family during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doreen's name to CancerCare Manitoba.
