RICHARD CAMPBELL
Born: Oct 18, 1963
Date of Passing: Feb 07, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD CAMPBELL October 18, 1963 - February 7, 2016 After a long journey and battle with diabetes, Richard passed away at his home (as he always wanted) on Sunday, February 7. Richard was predeceased by his mother Janet in 2013. He is survived by his father Robert; sisters, Hannah and Roberta (Alan); brother Andrew (Shannon); his children, Caitlin (Josh), Kelsey, Dustin and stepdaughter Tirra. Grandchildren, Abby and Brandon. His niece and nephews, Kristen (Kyle), Andrew and Dillon and great-nephew Charlie. Richard had many different stages in his life. The outgoing friend of many, always lending a hand and available for any adventure. Diabetes took its' toll. Though he lost his sight, he went on to obtain a degree in Social Work. Talking software was his new reality and he embraced it. From dialysis to transplants, from amputation to neuropathy, he endured and fought. Resilience, your name is Richard. Intelligent, strong-willed and often contrary, just to push buttons, you were one of a kind. You were loved, you will be missed and you will never be forgotten. Richard and his most loved constant companion, Broadway, are now together forever. A big thank you to Seeing Eyes for the Blind, Broadway meant the world to Richard, as for a time, she was his world. Service to be held Thursday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler at Henderson Highway. Refreshments to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations, if desired, to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or The Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. We ask that you "Please sign your organ donation cards" on behalf of Richard.

Richard was not just my best friend, he was also my inspiration. Richard taught me how to cope with blindness and was the most positive role model in my life.
