Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY LOU DEBLAERE (PETERSON) Peacefully at her home in Winnipeg, on Sunday, February 7, 2016, Mary Lou passed away at the age 84 years. Mary Lou was born in Winnipeg on July 17, 1931. She was united in marriage to Lawrence DeBlaere on February 14, 1951 in Winnipeg. He predeceased her in death on November 4, 2008. They were married for 57 years. She lived her entire life in Winnipeg, primarily in St. Boniface and St. Vital. Her passion in life was raising and enjoying her family, balancing being both a homemaker and a working mom. At the same time, she was strongly sustained in life by her faith, of which she was actively engaged right up until the time of her passing. She is survived by her children and spouses: Larry (Dawn) DeBlaere, Winnipeg; Keith (Doreen) DeBlaere, White Rock, BC; and Kerry (Sandy) DeBlaere, Winnipeg. She will also be lovingly remembered by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Frank (Anne) Peterson of Regina, SK. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by sister Barbara Ann Laminger, and brothers James (Jim) and Robert (Bob) Peterson. A short service will be performed at the Kingdom Hall at 227 Lakewood Blvd. on Saturday, February 13 at 4:00 p.m. This will be immediately followed by light refreshments hosted by the family.
