MARIO CIANFLONE, SR. June 24, 1940 - February 16, 2016 We deeply regret the sudden passing of our dearly beloved husband, father and grandfather, Mario, at the age of 75 years. Mario is survived by his beloved wife Connie, of 55 years; two sons, Gino and Mario, Jr. (Nancy); grandchildren, Cindy, Daniela, Mario, Maria, Sophia, Tazio and Adriano; brothers, Joe (Gisa), Tom, Angelo (Holly) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his cherished son Danny; his mother Maria; father Donato; sister Florence and brother Pasquale. Mario was born in Amato, Italy, June 24, 1940 and came to Canada along with his family in 1951. He was self-employed as a tile setter for many years. He enjoyed travelling with his loving wife, visiting many countries over the past 30 years. Lately, however, he preferred being at home gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Our father's main goal was to provide the best he could for his family, teaching strong family values that we try to instill in our children, in the hope that they will do the same. The family would like to extend their appreciation for the exceptional care given at S.I.C.U at Health Sciences Centre. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., at 10:00 a.m., with condolences being offered one hour prior to mass, Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano celebrant. It is the season of Lent and the family is asking in lieu of flowers, please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba in his memory. Entombment will follow in the Holy Angel Mausoleum, #1 Green Acres Lane, Highway #1 East.
