Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I met Shirley @ the Free Press; we were both Christians, so enjoyed going for coffee at The Happy Penny at break time. I had just left Riverview (my husband, Bob, was there for Respite) when I saw a lady in a wheelchair & was horrified to realize it was Shirley, and the state she was in. Bob & I did visit Shirley & Wayne twice; she starred really hard at us - we were hoping she remembered us. I am glad she's finally free of this earth's troubles but know Wayne will miss her & going to Riverview daily. He took good care of her. I expect to attend the memorial service. - Posted by: Kathleen (Knutson) Harris (used to work at the Free Press also.) on: Feb 22, 2016

  • I worked with Shirley at the Free Press many years ago. I remember her as a kind, caring young woman who put others before herself. My condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Barb (former co-worker) on: Feb 22, 2016
