ALICE BOISJOLI (nee BOUVIER) Peacefully on February 29, 2016 surrounded by family, Alice Boisjoli passed away at St Boniface Hospital at the age of 93. Mom is gone to heaven to join our beloved dad Raoul, who passed away in 1997. Alice is lovingly remembered by her 13 children, Jeanette (Rosaire) Tremblay, Suzanne (Bill) Sawchuk, Gerald (Elaine) Diane (Lionel) Aminot, Claude (Aline), Dorothee (Allen deceased) Davies, Louis (Huguette), Marc (Bonnie), Yves (Carolyn), Lucien (Louise), Gilles, Valerie (Ray), Saindon, Emilie (Scott) Delf; 40 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence (Carolus deceased) Vincent and Noella (Raymond) Desautels. Besides her husband Raoul, Mom was also predeceased by one grandson Andre and twogreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Sr. Dorothee Bouvier and Marie Vinette; two brothers, Emmanuel Bouvier and his wife Georgiana and Aime Bouvier and his wife Antoinette. Mom will also be missed by three sisters-in- law, Lucie Papineau-Carlson (Zéphir and Gus deceased), Gertrude Dubé (Charles deceased), Denise Boisjoli (Léo deceased) and one brother- in-law Alexandre (Irène) (Laurette deceased). She was also predeceased by five in-laws and spouses; Eva and Paul Dubé, Marie and Mathias Fisette, Georges and Alice Boisjoli, Jean Baptiste Boisjoli and Marceline Boisjoli. Mom was born in Fisher Branch August 11, 1922. Her family moved to St. George at the age of eight years old. At 19 she married Raoul, the love of her life. Together they raised 13 wonderful children. Mom était vraiment dans une grande joie quand elle était entourer de ses enfants et petits enfants. Elle aimait jouer aux cartes et au bingo avec ses amis de l'accueil. Mom, aimait tous les gens! La prière et sa foi était son réconfort et soutien. Mom Merci pour tout ce que nous avons vécu avec vous. Vous êtes notre force et notre foi. On vous aiment beacoup. The family would like to thank all her friends at L'Acceuille Colombien whom she cared so much for. Also special thanks to Father Marcel Carriere, Father Joseph and Father Michael for being there for Mom in her last days. Also a special thank you to the staff at Glen Lawn Funeral Home and to Funeral Director Scott Kirkhope. Rest in peace mom and may the Angel of God carry you to your place of Eternal Glory. "Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me". Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 avenue de la Cathédrale with Fr. Marcel Carriere presiding. Viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. prior to funeral mass. Private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alice's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. My condolences to the family in the name of my mother, nee Lucina Raymond, who passed on last July, and my father who passed in October. Jeanette, Suzanne, Gerald, Diane, Claude, Dorothee, Louis, Yves, Marc, Lucien, Gilles, Valerie and Emilie, Sorry to hear of the passing of Tante Alice. I was fortunate to have a nice visit with her on January 2nd at the St Boniface Hospital. Thanks for allowing us to share in your family events and activities over the years. As sad as it is for us here on Earth, there is great joy in Heaven now that your Mom and Dad are reunited along with many other family members. Unfortunately we will not be able to attend the funeral service this week, but will be in touch on our return.
