MARIA PALMIRA CORVELO November 12, 1932 - March 9, 2016 Peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2106, at St. Boniface Hospital, our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother Maria Palmira Corvelo, went to be with her Lord at the age of 83 years. Maria is survived by her children, Lucia (Antero), Ermelinda (Joe), Margarida and Joel (Gorette); her grandchildren, Liz (Mike), Mike, Wally (Jen), Christina (Lyle), Nuno (Kataria), Ramiro, Ashley (Ethan), Amber, Carla (Paul), Monica (Nelson), Ana (Vic), Matthew, Fabio (Leanne), Cataria, Ruben (Shane); and great-grandchildren, Nicki, Bella, Tyler, Danielle, Tatiana, Kaitlynn, Jessica, Brady, Alex, Miguel, Christina, Cylas, Raphael, Christian, Angelina and Naina. Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Manuel in June of 1998. Maria came to Canada from Sao Miguel, Acores, after her husband passed away to be with her two daughters and was joined shortly thereafter by her third daughter and son. Vavo was a happy, vibrant woman, who was overjoyed whenever she was with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors of St. Boniface's Palliative Care for taking such good care of Maria. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday March 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. from Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., with Eric Silva officiating.
