BIMLA WATI BECTOR It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of mother, grandmother, sister and sister-in-law, Bimla Wati Bector, on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by her late husband, Ram Parkash Bector. She is survived by her oldest son, Bhupinder (Vineeta); daughter Narinder Dhammi (Tarsem), and youngest son, Anil (Preeti); granddaughters Sarah, Anjuli Bhandari (Rishi), Diya, and grandsons Harit, Vinay, Amit Dhammi (Nishu) and Ravish Dhammi, as well as great-grandson Sehaj Dhammi. Bimla had many extended family members and friends too many to mention but near and dear to her heart. Bimla was born on March 16, 1930 in Bomb, Punjab, India. She married in 1946 and was a loving and caring wife and a devoted mother. She and her husband immigrated to Canada in 1986 to join other family here. Bimla was proud of her culture, steadfast in her faith and cared deeply for her loved ones. She always made sure that those around her were well taken care of through sharing stories of back home, eating healthy food and her vibrant sense of humour.   • We used to call her choti bibi.. She was always my favorite.. As a child, I used to be quite the troublemaker.. And she would always protect me from getting spanked..
