MATTHEW JOSEPH STARR (Born at St.Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg) April 27, 1983 March 20, 2016 It's with profound sadness we announce the tragic death of our beloved Matthew. He is survived by his two sons, Zayde and Elgin; along with their sister Brooke Fontaine; and their mother Kalie Courcelles. His mother Alma Starr; father Neambhard Nyack; his sister Lori Starr (Roger); grandmother Lillian Starr; uncle Claude Starr; cousin Melissa Starr; great aunt Diane Swampy; great uncle and godfather Joe Starr; great uncle Doug Starr and aunt Mabel; and friend Tom Henderson; uncle Dorian (Leona); deceased aunt Linda, mother of his sons Kalie Courcelles; his cousin Steven Fontaine that he called bro; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. As well special friends he took as brothers, Jeremy Montaur, Jeremy and Brendan Hall, Roddie and Tim Pakoo, Glen Pakoo, Ricky Simard, Jason Cowan, Kevin Rheaume and Kelly Rheaume, Ron Houston, Leanne and Sara Houston. Matthew was a kind and loving soul. He opened his home to all his friends. He loved to laugh, more like giggle. He was a very loyal friend. He enjoyed going with his grandparents to the casino. He was predeceased by his loving grandfather who he missed so much, so dearly, this caused a lot of pain and loneliness. Predeceased by his aunt and godmother Grace Starr, and Aunt Linda. Matthew took his grandfather's loss to too many lonely days and nights. It's a comfort to know Grandpa will have open arms to welcome him home, when he comes to the end of his journey. God bless. Wake services starting Thursday, March 24 at Diane Swampys, Number 107 South Shore. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 2:00 p.m. in Christ Anglican Church, South shore with Reverends Nancy and Richard Bruyere. His pallbearers will be Jeremy Montaur, Jeremy Hall, Brendan Hall, Roddy Pakoo, Jason Cowan and Steven Fontaine. Cremation will follow with the interment at a later date. Alma wishes to thank Marilyn and Tegan Courchene and all of her family members at the scene for the support they gave her.
