JOHN MICHAEL OLANSKY (CURLY) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Michael Olansky on March 19, 2016 at the Grace Hospital. He was predeceased by his father Barney Olansky. John will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Kim; stepson Joey VanWyk; mother-in-law Joan Hirt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry (Chris), Ken (Deana) and Jim (Jennifer); along with many nieces, nephews and friends. John was a chef at heart. John and Kim successfully ran the St. Vital Hotel Restaurant back in 1990 until 1998. From there John opened up his hot dog cart business that he loved working at. In 2003 he sold the hot dog cart business and drove limousine until he retired in 2009. The family would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital and Intensive Care Unit at the Grace Hospital. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
