LEONIDA VALDEZ It is with great sorrow that the family of Leonida Valdez announce her passing on March 25, 2016 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Leonida was predeceased by her loving husband Francisco. She is lovingly remembered by her children Melanio (Josie) [Jomel, Melanie, Maryjean], Mary Castro of the Philippines, Remedios Manansala [Wrychelle, A.J., Rose], Lydia Mapatac (Dante) [Patrick, Matthew, Jordan], Salvador, Domingo (Eden) [Domingo JR, Marco, Danica, Phoenix], and Mario [Dominique], Melanie of the Philippines, all her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all friends and family. Lamay will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (South of the Royal Canadian Mint). Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at St. Joseph's Church, 355 Andrews St. with Father Bo officiating. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. Our sincerest gratitude to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital who attended to Nanay and to Father Christopher Dubois for the blessing and prayers he gave to Nanay. Lola I know I wasn't around that much to see you, and I know is to late to tell you but if it wasn't for you I would have not know how to be kind to other and to stand in my own two feet. You showed me that family are everything and to love them no matter what. Lola I will miss you and love you.
