GERALDINE EVELYN THOMPSON 1914 - 2016 Peacefully, on March 31, 2016, Geraldine slipped into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at the age of 101 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, Portage la Prairie, MB. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Geraldine was born and raised in Poplar Point and was the oldest of three children born to Wes and Lloyda Thompson. She was predeceased by her parents and two younger brothers, Ted and Elmer, one nephew Allan and her sister-in-law Margery (Elmer). Geraldine leaves to mourn her sister-in-law Marion Thompson (Ted); nieces and nephews, David (Marilyn), Leslie (Dave), Donald, Robert (Yvonne), Glenn (Valerie), Valerie (Troy) and many great-nieces and nephews. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Geraldine's memory to a charity of one's choice.
