JAMES (JIM) ALFRED KILMISTER It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Kilmister; a loving husband, father, papa and friend. Jim passed away peacefully, with family by his side on April 6, 2016. Jim will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Donna; their daughter Kristyn and son-in-law James, son Brennan and daughter-in-law Camille and his three granddaughters Scarlett, Mila and Blaire. Jim is also survived by his mother Ellie Kilmister; sister Maureen Vanin (Wally); mother-in-law Anne Hudye; sister-in-law Sharon Larson (Barry); brother-in-law Alan Hudye (Francis); brother-in-law Derryl Hudye (Shelly); brother-in-law Randy Hudye (Elaine); sister-in-law Patty Koroluk-Hudye (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews. Jim is predeceased by his father Lawrence Kilmister; father-in-law Nick Hudye and nephew Chase Hudye. Jim was born on June 21, 1953 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan. After graduating from Kamsack Comprehensive Institute, Jim began his 42 year career with the Toronto Dominion Bank. In 1976, Jim married the love of his life Donna and together raised their children, Kristyn and Brennan. Jim felt that his greatest achievement in life was his family. Jim loved sports, was a devoted Red Wings hockey fan but his true passion was the game of golf. He won many golf championships, most recently the 2013 Senior Men's Club Championship at South Wood G&CC. Jim enjoyed traveling with Donna. Together they made trips to Europe, the Caribbean and across Canada. He also loved spending summers at the family cabin in Madge Lake, SK. Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. F. Salem, everyone at CancerCare Manitoba, the doctors and nursing staff at St. Boniface Hospital and all the family and friends who have supported Jim through his illness. A celebration of James' life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3E 0V9. Dear Donna and family, Our deepest sympathy to the Kilmister/Hudye family. So very grateful we got to see you in September. We'll always remember Jim's big smile, the joy he shared in telling us of his 'golf trip of a lifetime', and his positive attitude. We thought of him as we watched the Masters.....and would like to think that he was looking down, cheering on his favourite players. - Posted by: RIchard, Katherine and Adam Jordens (Friends) on: Apr 11, 2016
