Mama worked hard her whole life and never complained. Her house was always open to family, friends and strangers day or night. One thing for sure was you never left her home hungry. She loved her garden with much pride and loved to share it with all her heart. To everyone else, Nana's last words from the heart were "I love everybody, I love Powerview." • I can still smell the kitchen of my "Italian momma". I see in my mind the peppers and garlic hanging at the window and momma rushing to get me a cup of tea. There was always something cooking on the stove and always a warm embrace full of love for me. Despite having a house full of her own there was never a time "extras" were not welcomed. A beautiful, loving, kind woman, the world has lost a true jem and I will miss her. It was truly a privilege to have known her beautiful spirit. To Carmela, Rita, Franco, Nino, & Angelo my heart goes out to you. Biggest hugs ever and my love. - Posted by: Tracy Madden-Legall (Family Friend ) on: May 03, 2016

  • Ma - You were the first and last mother-in-law I have and will forever have. I am so grateful that I had the honor of seeing your smile and experiencing the warmth and hugs every time I came to visit. My first memory on the day we first met was "she's not Italian" but dad, Dimko's reply was "I like this girl". Both my sons, Dale & Ryan and I have been left with a hugh emptiness in our hearts since you have been gone. You were a proud, vibrant & beautiful woman who will be forever in our hearts. Carmela, Franco, Rita, Nino & Angelo - I am so sorry for your loss. "Heaven gained a beautiful angel". - Posted by: Carolyn Genyk (Friend) on: May 01, 2016

  • My loving Nana, I will always cherish the times we had together. I will always remember coming to visit you on the weekends and having sleep overs at your home when I was young. The one memory that comes to mind is when we went to West Edmonton Mall, we stayed at the Fantasyland hotel and would ride the elevators; walking from floor to floor and waking up in the early mornings holding your gentle hand while we walk the empty mall. My heart breaks knowing you are not with us anymore :( You were so special to me and I cannot thank you enough for all the love and support you shown me. I am going to miss hearing your voice, hearing you say "How's My Boy" and "I Love You". I will also miss your cooking and the pasta you would send me home. God please take good care of her, she is a beautiful angel. Although I cannot see you, I feel your presence near. I will hold you close in memory, Till I drop my very last tear. So sleep now with the angels, And your golden heart let rest. Although our hearts are broken, We know GOD took the best. So dance beyond those golden gates, And join your loving mum. I'll see you when I'm sleeping, And pray for you to come. And although this pain is painful, And I really don't wanna let you go. I'll wait for death to take me Nana, So we can together one day glow. Until that day I'll close my eyes, and see your smiling face. I'll lock you up inside me heart, Until we again embrace. So rest now my beautiful nana, I'll never forget how much you have done. So until my hand meets yours again, Sleep now in the sun. Love you always and forever! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Dale Grandson - Posted by: Dale (Grandson) on: Apr 30, 2016

  • She was loved by so many. I still have vivid memories of our two visits to Pine Falls as children She loved my mother, her sister and my mother loved her back Not a night would go when my mom was alive that they would not speak every day. They would talk and raise their voices but always ended the conversations with I love you. May she be granted eternal rest. May she be surrounded by those who went before her. You have your own guardian angel now...love you Zia from the Gallo and Chiarelli families - Posted by: Bruna and Mark Chiarelli (Niece) on: Apr 30, 2016

  • Deepest condolences to the entire family. The earliest memory I have of Cesira is seeing her tend to her garden...So beautiful! Although I seriously dont know how she managed as she Always shared a friendly smile and wave at everyone who passed by on the little road. She was always so friendly and its true, if you went to visit one of the kids, you left weighing at least 2 pounds heavier! Heaven's gardens will be extra beautiful with your mom/grandma tending them! So sorry for your loss.my prayers and thoughts are with you all. - Posted by: Wilma (Family Friend) on: Apr 30, 2016
