DONALD WLADYKA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Don Wladyka, our dearly loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, on April 23, 2016, at 80 years of age. Dad will be forever remembered and missed by his children, Wendy (Leo), Gayle and Bill; his grandchildren, Trina (Bruce), Hayley (Lars), Kelci, Lindsay, Brooke, Erik, Korbin and Damara; and his great-grandchildren, Taven and Gracelyn. Also mourning Dad is his son-in-law Roger and his nieces and nephews from the Royko and Kaltenberger families. Dad was predeceased by his wife Beverly in 2007, his daughter Janice in 2014 and his son-in-law Chris in 2015. Dad treasured his long friendship with David and Judy Huston, who were so dear to him, especially since Mom's passing. Dad worked for CP Rail, retiring over 30 years ago. He and Mom loved their visits to Banff, Hawaii, summers at their cabin in Ponemah and many road trip adventures. In keeping with Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. We will forever hold memories of Dad in our hearts. Rest now Dad, we love you.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Don and I both were employed at CP Rail. We formed a good friendship for many, years while we were in the same department. By accident, we re-kindled our friendship when we ran into each other in Hawaii , 1979. We all had a good time enjoying our holidays together. I will surely miss my good friend and lodge Brother. Happy to meet, sorry to part, happy to meet again. - Posted by: Kenneth T. Dudjiinski (Friend & Btother of Masoni Lodge Beaver/Iionc #25) on: May 02, 2016

  • Don and Bev were dear friends from our days at Ponemah Beach over 40 years ago. Our kids intermingled at the time and we spent many a day on the Beach enjoying our time of just being there. Many evenings Weiner roasts etc, having the "Happy Hour" time. Don , you and Bev were awesome as your family. We plan on visiting Manitoba this summer and being at Ponemah in July . You will be with your darling Bev again and daresay we will meet again. Gods Speed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. Special times at Ponemah!! - Posted by: Gordon McLauchlin and Audrey (friends from the days at ponemah beach) on: May 01, 2016

  • Uncle Don will never be forgotten and always remembered for his kindness and caring towards everyone he met! Will cherish the Hawaii Vacations and all the long phone conversations we had! He will be truly missed and always loved. Your Niece, Brenda and Family - Posted by: Brenda Huynen (Royko) (Niece) on: Apr 30, 2016
