NORMA EILEEN HAGGLUND It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Norma Eileen Hagglund on April 24, 2016, aged 92 years. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Clifford, as well as her children, Karen, Craig, and Cathy (Joe) as well as grandchildren Troy (Kristin), Clifford (Sandra), Jackie (Oscar), Randy (Rhonda), Brigitte (Jordie), Chris, Courtney (Jeff), and Cara (Vince). As well as numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter Gail and her grandson Brandon. Norma had an amazing green thumb and had the most incredible flower and vegetable gardens. Her tomato plants and Impatience flowers were the envy of the neighborhood! She was an avid artist including clay pottery and nature landscape painting. You could always see her incredible works of art on display throughout her home. She also loved spending time at the local Winnipeg legions, visiting with friends and maybe a bit of time trying her luck at the slot machines. Norma was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was our ray of light and we will miss her devotion, generosity and loyalty. We feel so blessed to have had her as part of our lives. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

  • Norma Hagglund was the Grandmother anyone would ever want. Loving, interested in her family, a great cook and baker (best apple pies, matrimonial cake and upside down pineapple cake), great card player and the matriarch of the family. Norma was born out of her time. I mean to say if Norma was born recently, I have no doubt she would have went on to accomplish great things. She had all the characteristic's of a leader. Not saying she didn't accomplish great things, because she did being a homemaker, mother, wife, grandparent, etc. Grandma was a person you would never forget. Her passing was actually an accident and if it wasn't for that accident, I am sure she would still be around today (3 years later). Her last few years were very challenging as she suffered a stroke and could only speak 2-3 words at a time. Her best words were "I hate this" before not being able to say more. Norma Hagglund will always be missed and never forgotten. - Posted by: Troy Hoebee (Grandson) on: Jan 11, 2019

  • God looked around his garden and saw an empty space. He then took a look around the earth and saw your lovely face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. Gods garden must be beautiful, as he only takes the best. - Posted by: Sandy Holland (Niece) on: Apr 30, 2016
