Winnipeg North Enders, he on McFarlane She on Polson Destined to be his future "darlin" St. John's High School, a dance in the gym February 45 "I Do" for she and him Four daughters and one son Loved and cherished Job well done! Four granddaughters and one grandson Memories now abound of good old Grandparent stories and fun And we know their love will go on and on Watching over and protecting Their two great grandsons Stalwart family provider, Firefighter John Shifts at Winnipeg firehalls Stretched from dusk to dawn A union man by another name His negotiated pension plan Made the firefighter hall of fame Committed homemaker Frieda, John's dear Truly was a "domestic engineer" Always there to share the load Jobs at "Freshwater" or "The San" Frieda enriched her family abode To extended families and friends They were generous and loving Their wish to do good truly had no end And so please join us on this date To remember John and Frieda Their lives to celebrate!
