Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST WESLEY STIGANT November 11, 1946 - May 7, 2016 Ernie passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Winnipeg, MB to Hilda and Ernie Stigant, he worked passionately as the Executive Director of the Winnipeg Arts Council before moving to Victoria, BC in 1989. Ernie was an active volunteer through the MS Society, Harbourside Rotary Club, and other community events. Ernie took great pride in being a grandfather to Marley, Tabitha and Desmond who gave him great joy. He is survived by his loving sister Beverly (Ray) Conley; daughters, Gabrielle Stigant (Norman Petkau), Jessica Stigant (Scott Towne); and many dear friends. As an avid fundraiser, Ernie would encourage donations to either the MS Society of Victoria or Harbourside Rotary. A celebration of life is being planned for the near future.
