Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Dear Lucille and family.........we were very saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He was an awesome person with a wonderful sense of humour. We truly appreciated the true friendship he had with our mom and dad as well as all the good times we shared growing up as neighbours. He will certainly never be forgotten. - Posted by: Paulette Manning & John Assailly (Family/neighbours and lifelong friends) on: May 26, 2016

  • I didn't know Paul well, but I met him periodically throughout my life. He was my Mom's cousin and she always spoke so highly of him and his brother. She had so many great memories of times spent with the twins out on the farm in Richer MB. Silly stories actually that always made me laugh. I often asked her to "tell me that story again"....alas, the cousins are all together now in heaven...I truly believe that they are having a blast. Rest in Peace Paul, you will be missed here, but your smile will be welcomed in heaven - Posted by: Tracy Hoffmeier (Cousin (few times removed)) on: May 26, 2016

  • He was so full of joy and happiness and truely delighted in his family, especialy his grandchildren. In this way he reminded me of my own Dad. - Posted by: Linda Gingera (Family) on: May 26, 2016

When we visited in Winnipeg with our girls, they really loved him. Paul will be in our prayers and a mass will be celebrated for him the first sunday of June. • Paul has been my friend for many years. We had so many good times together. We kept in touch and he remained my friend even after I moved from Winnipeg some 29 years ago. After moving to Ottawa from Winnipeg I missed him a lot. How many times he made me laugh and it was so easy to enjoy his company. Over the years Paul and I helped each other with many projects around our homes. He was always there for me. When I was hospitalized, for a long time with Guillain Barré Syndrome at the St-Boniface hospital, he would pay me regular visits and even found time to come to cut my hair in the ICU. He got to know my whole family including mother who still lives in New Brunswick. I will miss you so much Paul. My whole family is sad. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again.
