JOANNE GOBEIL Peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, Joanne Gobeil passed away at Tuxedo Villa, at the age of 69 years. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 31 at 12:00 noon at Soul Sanctuary, 2050 Chevrier Blvd. with Dr. Gerald Michalski officiating, interment will follow in the St. Vital Cemetery. As I sit here, I think about the good and tough times we had Mom. You were a caring, compassionate person that loved animals and nature. Even in times of crisis, when you were fighting your demons you took moments to care about others and the things going on around you. You fought those hard days with a strength and intelligence most would not be able to comprehend. The days turned into months and the months into years, time passes so fast and next thing you weren't there. A day never passed that I didn't think of you, you were always in my thoughts. I'm sorry I could not be there for you in these last years Mom, but I know you understand why, only a loving Mother could. I need that same strength you had to fight those same demons on some days.
