AUGUST JOSEPH ERSTELLE Peacefully with family by his side, August (Gus) Erstelle passed away at Donwood Manor on May 29, 2016, at the age of 81. Gus was predeceased by the love of his life Cora, father George and mother Emma. Gus leaves to mourn daughters Bernice (Bob), Corinne (Gord), Linda, Annette (Rick) and son Larry (Mary). He also leaves behind sisters Vera, Mary, Delma, Jeanette, Rose, Flora, Loretta; brothers Joe and Leonard; numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was proud of his lifelong career with the City of Winnipeg Sanitation Department. Special thanks to the staff and employees of Donwood Manor for their care and kindness to our father. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Chapel at 2146 Main St.

Rest In Peace Dear Gus, I have known you since I was 6 years old. You are the kindest sweetest man. I will always remember your kindness and sweet smile! Going fishing in Lockport, playing Crib... I don't think I ever heard you yell or raise your voice... You were a wonderful dad to Linda, Bernice, Corrine, Annette and Larry...you even treated me like a daughter...
