  • My family met Betty, Metro and JulieAnna through school and eventually became very close friends. We certainly felt like extended family in the last few years. Betty was even with me when my dad was passing in February at the St. Boniface Hospital. Betty was a kind, caring and generous person who always liked to keep busy going for coffee, lunch or shopping. We spent many days off and vacation days together. It was through this friendship that we also got to know Betty's family and friends and we will miss her dearly. Our condolences to the family and especially to JulieAnna, as you are in our thoughts everyday. - Posted by: Angela (Friend) on: Jun 04, 2016

  • So many years have gone by when Betty and I attended Shevchenko School together, but I still remember her sweet shy smile. Rest in peace our dear friend. With Love and Respect, Sylvia and Gordon Bowen, nee Dowhy. - Posted by: Sylvia and Gordon Bowen (Classmate in Vita) on: Jun 04, 2016

  • I met Betty through my Granddaughter Winnie when Julie-Anna and her were in Kindergarten together. They have remained friends ever since seeing each other often through the years. The last time we saw Betty was May 18th when the girls went bike riding and Betty and I spent some time together and went to Dairy Queen where she had a pineapple sundae. Betty was one of the kindest and most generous persons I have ever met. Even though we didn't see each other that often I will miss her gentle spirit. Rest in Peace Betty. - Posted by: Sharon Ikonen (Friend) on: Jun 04, 2016
