DORIS BEAULIEU (nee VERMETTE) After a lengthy illness, Doris passed away at the age of 67 years at the St. Joseph Personal Care Home. Doris was born and raised in Carey, MB, moving to Winnipeg later. She married Richard Beaulieu and they had one daughter, Susan, who was the light of Doris' life. Doris was predeceased by her parents Lucien and Agnes, brother Louis, sister Evelyne, brother-in-law Mario and nephew Christopher. Doris is survived by her daughter Susan, siblings Theresa (Leo), Henry (Leanne), Lynne (Daniel), Denise (Mark), Louise, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was a very loving person to everyone she knew. My mom was my best friend and mentor. Mom's unconditional love for animals began in her early life being raised on a farm. She often talked about her pets including a pet rooster which would later be served for dinner. Doris enjoyed listening to country music as well as listening to her daughter sing. The family extends their thanks to Susan for being with her mother for days on end before her passing. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.

Dear Susan, We are so sorry for your loss, Your MOM was very close to you and loved you with all her heart. Keep your good memories of the happy times together. She's now smiling at you from heaven and she's in God's care. Your MOM was our Maiden of Honour at our wedding on June 21, 1969. We have kept in touch over the years, mostly through telephone conversations. She always remembered our birthdays, except for last December 2015 when she was so sick in the hospital. The last time we talked to her was to wish her a happy 67th birthday on May 4, 2016. Always remember ,Susan, that your mother wants you to be happy and keep singing! Love, Millie and Clovis Tetrault Dear Doris, God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be, He put His arms around you And said, "Come unto Me." You will be forever in our memories Doris. Hello Susan, I am very sorry for your loss! I rode the school bus with your Mom all through high school. She was a lovely person and tended to be a little shy - those are my memories from 50 years ago - scary to say it was that long ago! I am so happy she had you with her when she passed. We lived on a farm about 2 miles West and .5 mi south of your grandparents' farm. I laughed at your story about your Mom's pet rooster because my brother had a pet called, "Pal" who later became hamburgers. That's just the way it was on the farm. Peace be with you knowing your Mom is in a better place. Jackie Flanders (May) - Posted by: Jackie Flanders (May) (school friend) on: Jun 27, 2016
