FERNE GERTRUDE TODD (Bradley) July 3, 1938 May 29, 2016 It is with peaceful sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and friend Ferne Gertrude Todd on May 29, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Mom followed our Dad Terry four months to the day and now their journey is complete. Ferne was predeceased by her beloved husband Terry, daughter Tammy Berube, brother Lorne Bradley, mother Gertrude and father Gilbert Bradley. She leaves to mourn daughter Fay Morin, Terri-Lynn (Christian) and son Mike (Wendy). Also left to mourn are 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. After a successful career with CIBC, retirement was to build a home in Lac du Bonnet for their future. Ferne did not enjoy winters in Manitoba so they became "Snow Birds" travelling to Texas for six months, along with completing an across Canada journey. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all their friends for the compassion they have shown during this difficult time. A combined Memorial service for Ferne and Terry will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 45 McArthur Ave., Lac du Bonnet, on July 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Now let their new journey begin. Interment will follow at Riverland Cemetery.

  • With Terry & Ferne's memorial coming up this weekend, they & their family are indeed in our thoughts & prayers. A shock having them pass so quickly. They were Texas neighbors that shared the address of "Champion Circle" at Trophy Gardens and will definitely be missed on our block. Always there with a wave or a smile and ready to help with our Block Parties.   • I am so sorry to hear of your parent's passing. I have known your Mom and Dad for about 35 years. I worked with your Dad and had dealt with your Mom through the bank for years. They were always so much fun! Your Dad always had a nice word to say and your Mom was just a blast...telling it like it is. LOL I just loved them both - such dear friends. Haven't seen them for years though, but I always thought of them and asked if anyone had seen them. Please know that our condolences are with your entire family at this very sad and difficult time.
