KATHERINE (BARBARA) WOOD Dr. Barbara Wood (nee Katherine Barbara Laird), passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Victoria Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Remaining to cherish Barbara's memory are her son James (Greta); granddaughters, Delaney and Brynn; son Angus (Maria Lomoro) and daughter Katherine (Stephen Berkson); as well as grandsons, Theodore and Tobias Berkson. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Ian Wood, MD. Barbara was born in England, graduating with a degree from the University of Sheffield Medical School. In 1957, Ian and Barbara immigrated to Canada. After 30 years in Saskatchewan, they retired to Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Barbara moved to Winnipeg in 2014. She resided at the Parkway Retirement Community. A private family Service will be held at a later date.
