Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVA MAY CAMERON (BLAINE) Peacefully, with family by her side, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing away of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eva May Cameron on June 28, 2016 at the age of 87 years. Eva was predeceased by her husband Ian William Cameron in 1988, her son Gordon Colin Cameron in 2013, and brother Bill Blaine of Brandon, Manitoba. She will be missed by her sons and daughters-in-law: Don and Ineke Cameron, Ken and Barbara Cameron, and Cathy Cameron. Mom was so very proud of her grandchildren Kevin (Jolene) Cameron, Heather (Kyle) Wagner, Curtis (Randi) Cameron, David (Amanda) Cameron, Kelly (Colin) Robertson, Colin Cameron (Melissa David), Darrin (Elizabeth) Paley, Tyzen Paley, Grant Paley (Laura Haines), her nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters Kathleen (David) Grove of Florida, USA and Betty Leslie (Phil) of Brandon, Manitoba. Mom was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, and later years St. Bartholomew Anglican Church. Mom was also an active member of her community and her place of residence (Dawson Trails). She took great pride in helping others and attended numerous functions at the church and Dawson Trails. She loved being at all the family gatherings especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her retirement years her greatest pleasures were volunteering for Tourism of Manitoba and also at church functions. She loved her sports, especially her Winnipeg Jets. She would cheer them so hard, I am sure they heard her through the T.V. and at the MTS Centre. Our family would like to express our special thank you to the staff on Ward 6E at the St. Boniface Hospital who gave such special care to our mother. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Eva Cameron's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6, or CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0V9.
