ROSEMARY (ROMY) KATHLEEN HAYNES September 5, 1933 - June 28, 2016 It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our mother Rosemary on the evening of June 28, 2016. Rosemary will be cherished forever in memory by her four children, Barbara (Barry), Dennis (Marlene), Margaret (Ted) and John (Margaret), her six grandchildren, Brenden (Tiffany), Ryan (Crystal), Shanna, Brock (Cheryl), Brett (Jarred) and Amber, and four great-grandchildren, Ryder, Navaeh, Lily, and Maya, along with her extended grandchildren, Brayden and Andy. Born September 5, 1933, the youngest of five children during the Great Depression, Mum attended school in Morse Place and went on to work at Eaton's mail order, Child and Family Services, and the most important job of all, raising her four children; always putting them first and did so without much so they could have. Mum was an exceptional embroiderer and knitter and each grandchild was made a blanket or outfit. Mum loved crosswords, jumbos, puzzles, rug hook, Saturday Kinsmen bingo, and even mastered Facebook. We are forever grateful for the love, compassion, kindness, strength, and endurance Mum showed and taught each and every one of us. Mum never asked for much in this life but the love of her family, a warm cup of tea, a cat to pat on her lap. She loved a beautiful geranium plant, a good Yorkshire pudding, Cornation Street and the hockey playoffs. Heartfelt thanks to the fire department, ambulance and St. Boniface Hospital in their efforts to try and keep Mum with us a little longer... Go rest high on that mountain now Mum. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 4, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Hwy. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery.
