ROBERT (BOB) BREAULT It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) Breault on July 6, 2016 at St. Boniface Hospital. Dad is survived by sons, Bruce (Laurel) and Gerry (Janice); grandchildren, Christine (Jordan), Matt (Chelsea), Stephanie, and Mike; great-grandchildren, Abby and Brady; brother Len (Jan); brother-in-law Ted and nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by his wife Joyce and his sister Lorna. Dad was born on July 2, 1928 in St. Boniface and grew up in Fort Rouge. Dad and Mom married in 1950 and they moved to Windsor Park and Southdale to raise their sons. Dad was very proud of his career with Imperial Oil starting in 1947 as an office boy. He held a number of positions including Account Control Clerk, Assistant Division Cashier, Traffic Clerk and Credit and Collection Clerk. He was appointed as Sales Trainee in 1956 and transferred to a Sales Representative (Agency) in 1957. In the early 1960's, Dad bought the Imperial Oil Bulk Agency on Marion Street which he ran for many years and later moved the Agency to Dawson Road. He also owned and operated many ESSO gas stations over the years. Dad was a huge sports fan. He volunteered many hours each year coaching hockey, football, and baseball at Winakwa and Southdale Community Clubs. He was also very involved with the Junior Riels for many years. Dad loved the years that he was involved with the Elmwood Kiwanis Club and made many of his lifetime friends through those years. Dad and Mom had many great summers with friends and family at their Star Lake cottage and when Dad finally retired, they spent winters in Mesa and Hawaii. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
