WILLIAM EDWARD SHOUP With great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Bill on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Concordia Hospital. Bill was predeceased by his parents Herman and Evelyn, and sister Carole. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Adeline, son Nicholas, and sister Gayle Poulot. In keeping with Bill's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.

Bill and I were both artisans selling our work at Pulse Gallery. I was also on staff there for awhile, and I often got into conversation with Bill when he stopped by to drop off sculptures, and also when he had a show of his paintings. I enjoyed his understated and blunt manner when I asked for advice. His sculpting demos at Culture Days became exercises in crowd control, as his quiet demeanour and expertise drew children like a magnet. They were crowded around him in the gallery, and were glued to the window looking in. He didn't have to say a word. He must have been such a great teacher! I was saddened to hear that he had passed.
