Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA LUISE SCHMIDT July 19, 2016 Maria passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at Penticton Regional Hospital on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Maria was born on January 1, 1936 in Cologne, Germany and came to Canada in 1955. She is survived by her husband John B. Schmidt, they shared 53 wonderful years together. She will be remembered for living life to the fullest, her compassion, courage and her sense of humour. She will be missed by her seven children, Harold, Anita, Karin, John, Bridget, Brian and Angela, and their children and grandchildren, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life was held at Everden Rust Funeral Chapel, 1130 Carmi Ave., Penticton, BC on Thursday, July 28, 2016. A special thanks to Dr. Kooy and the wonderful medical and nursing personnel at Penticton Regional Hospital for their compassionate care.
