KELEIGH ANDREA NIDER (nee MANSFIELD) On Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the age of 42, after a cancer diagnosis in January, God wrapped His loving arms around our angel Keleigh and she is now our angel in heaven. Treasured memories of Keleigh will forever remain with the greatest joy in her life, her son Brian, his father Walter, along with her parents, Brian and Helen Mansfield, her sisters, Tracey and Shannon, and her nephew and niece, Andrew and Jamie whom she adored deeply. Kel's greatest joy was her family. Her son Brian was born in January, 2003 and from that day on Kel's greatest joy was being a mom to Brian. He was her greatest gift and she his greatest comfort and support. Keleigh grew up in Southdale and graduated from J.H. Bruns Collegiate in 1991. Throughout high school and university, she worked part-time at an orthodontic office where she met her closest friend, Jan Peters. Throughout Kel's life she was blessed with many friends who loved her. Shortly after graduating from the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, she helped her future husband Dr. Walter Nider build his orthodontic practice, a job that she remained at and committed to until her diagnosis. Keleigh received exceptional care throughout her illness and we would like to extend special thanks to the teams at CancerCare Manitoba, especially Dr. Shantanu Banerji, the Concordia Hospital Emergency Department, and Dr. Eva Smil for the care and comfort shown to her and our family. The celebrations of Keleigh's life will take place at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 35 Marcie Street, Winnipeg, MB, beginning on Friday, evening, July 29 with prayers at 7:00 p.m. and continuing on Saturday, July 30 with Mass at 10:30 a.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel, with lunch to follow. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was Keleigh's wish to have donations made to St. Alphonsus School, 343 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R2K 1H2. We will love you forever Kel

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I am so sorry Brian it must be hard to lose your mom in Grade 8. I remember when your mom used to come to church to St Alphonsus. Brian you are such a good nice and kind friend to everyone you don't deserve to lose your mom at 13 years old. - Posted by: Rosie Wilson (School friend to Brian Nider) on: Apr 01, 2017

  • Dear Brian and Helen, My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Keleigh. I was saddened to read of your loss in the Free Press. I was a friend of Marion Loney, and remembered you both on meetings through her .....you were such wonderful neighbours to Marion. I can't imagine the pain you're going through, but want you to know that my thoughts are with you. With sincere sympathy, Lib Downes - Posted by: Lib Downes (friend of the Mansfield's neighbour) on: Aug 03, 2016
