ANNE McNEIL
Born: Mar 15, 1932
Date of Passing: Aug 10, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE McNEIL Anne McNeil of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2016 at the Tuxedo Nursing Home. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dearly loved Mother, Sister and Grandmother. Left to cherish her memories are her son Pat (Jo-Anne), daughter Missy (Phil) Penner and her grandchildren, Taylor and Sarah McNeil, Cole and Troy Penner. She is also survived by her daughter Kay McNeil (Jamie). Mom was predeceased by her son Mike McNeil in 2010. Mom was born in Winnipeg on March 15, 1932 to Martin and Mary Zelinsky. She was predeceased by both her parents as well as her sister Margaret Lopushansky. She is survived by her sister Rose (Al) Lucas and many nieces and nephews. Mom worked close to 30 years for the River East School Division as a secretary. She was a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Parish. Mom lived for her children and was there to help and support us. She loved the family cottage at Lester Beach and we have many great memories of us being out there all summer long as children. Although she couldn't swim she watched us for hours on the beach, while reading her favorite novel. She could run pretty fast too even with that wooden spoon in her hand! After years of threats we did get to witness that once! Mom was a great role model and support for her children, she was very strong, independent, determined, and strong willed. She will be missed very much by her family and those that knew her. We know she is happy now that she will be reunited with Mike. As per moms request there will be no funeral service. We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Tuxedo Nursing home for the love and care they gave our Mom. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

Anne was a great mother to you all, you are all stronger children thanks to your mother. She always opened here cottage door to us kids and always make us feel at home. I know you will miss her quiet humour and gentle being. My prayers go out to you all. - Posted by: Marge (Friend) on: Aug 13, 2016
