BARBARA GATEY June 8, 1921 - August 2, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Gatey (nee Burkart) on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Victoria, BC. Mom was predeceased by her husband Allan (2011), and will be sadly missed by her children, Lynn-Dell Goorachurn (Lekh), Barry Gatey (Jane), Cheryl Eason (Vic) and Shelly Durand (Norm), and her grandchildren, Anil Goorachurn (Amanda), Ashley Goorachurn (Lin), David Gatey (Alison), Laura Gatey, Jenna Iliac (Steve) and Jonathan Durand. She is also survived by her sisters, Jeanette Schuler, Emily Juby, Doreen Lange (Vern) and Claudine Van Der Velden, as well as Allan's family, Gerry Gatey (Jean), Ed Gatey, Joan Gatey, Helen Carscadden and Deanne Brant, along with numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, a donation of your choice to any charity organization would be appreciated.
