YVONNE FRANCES POOT (nee KANDERA) 1959 - 2016 Peacefully on July 1, 2016, Yvonne Frances Poot of St. Albert, Alberta, passed away at the age of 56 years after a short and courageous battle with cancer. Yvonne is lovingly remembered by her husband Marc; two sons, Ryan (Tasha) and Colin; parents, Fred and Sylvia Kandera; sister Michelle McDougall; nieces, Samantha (Joel) and Emily, all of Winnipeg; and her sister Sonia Kandera (Amir Faiz) of Edmonton. Yvonne is also remembered by mother-in-law Dolores Poot (late father-in-law Neil Poot Sr.); brothers-in-law, Chris (Kerry) and family, Neil (Sheila) and family, all of Winnipeg. Yvonne worked for the Government of Canada in Edmonton for many years since moving to Alberta with her family. The family wishes to thank the medical staff at the Cross Cancer Institute (Edmonton) and the medical, palliative and nursing staff at Sturgeon Community Hospital (St. Albert) for their kindness and compassion while Yvonne was in their care. A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg on August 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Barry Schoonbaert at St. Vital R.C. Cemetery, Family Plot on Crescent Drive.
