YVONNE KANDERA POOT Yvonne was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She would be 57 on August 22 if she hadn't sadly been taken from us July 1, 2016. Yvonne grew up in St. Norbert, married her high school sweetheart, had two beautiful sons and they all eventually moved to Edmonton. She was a quiet and thoughtful soul who didn't have a mean bone in her body. Anyone who took the time to get to know her would be rewarded with a loyal and loving friend in their life. She was a great cook and loved making delicious meals for family and friends. She never forgot anyone's birthday and, no matter where she travelled, she always brought back souvenirs for everyone. Even in her last days when she was very sick in the hospital, she made a point to remember all the nurses and would thank them by name when they came to care for her. That was Yvonne - humble, unassuming, generous, thoughtful and kind. Love you and miss you so much, Yvonne. It's hard to believe you were needed somewhere else more than here with us. You'll be in our hearts and thoughts forever. xoxo Family and Friends. Cremation has taken place and a graveside funeral service will be held on her birthday (August 22) at the Fort Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery at 826 Crescent Dr. at 1:00 p.m.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Hello I am an old friend of Yvonne's. We went from Kindergarten to Grade 5 together. I now live in Baker Creek, BC which is an hour west of Quesnel. The Holy Spirit just put her on my heart again, I have thought of Yvonne and our friend Michelle Fereton many times through the years. It saddens me that I never acted on it until today. I am so sorry for your loss and can tell you that her obituary was truthful all the way from when she was 5. She will be missed all over again. May God bless you and give you peace as you make your way to healing through this year and into the future.
