  • Well dad it's been almost six months and came back on here to read some of the comments. I miss you. I think about you and talk about you daily. You will always be the person that gave me the best advice and I am proud you were my dad. Wish I still had the chance to talk to you. You touched a lot of people. Maybe I won't hear from you until we met again but I'd sure love to hear the stories about u from other people. At anytime if anyone would like to share a memory please call me it would be an honour to hear. 204-999-2227. Love you dad - Posted by: Ryan Zimmerman (Son) on: Feb 22, 2017

  • Wow it's so nice to see these beautiful things said about my grandpa.....it took me a few months to come back and read them.....I'll never forget your wisdom grandpa! I miss you terribly - Posted by: Kayla (Granddaughter ) on: Nov 29, 2016

  • Thank you Tom. You were my magnet. I was drawn to you like steel at any Zimmerman gathering. We found our common ground on many different subjects. From your love of family history, our cottages, unpredictable shift work and long hours to our beers of choice. You were a jack of all trades AND a master of all. Such an interesting and intelligent man you were. Unassuming but a strong advocate for your family and your furry friends. My life has been enriched. Thank you Tom. Forever missed and forever loved. • Tom was like a Dad to me. He was always there to give advice or guidance when needed. Tom and I spent many weekends working on his most favorite place in the world...the cabin. It didn't matter if it was plumbing, electrical or carpentry he knew it all. We used to always joke and say if we leave the bathroom till last the girls won't come out as much. RIP my friend I will always remember you and what you stood for...FAMILY. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family. Always John. - Posted by: John Busby (son inlaw) on: Aug 30, 2016

  • Very sad to hear of Tom's passing. Such a kind and gentle soul. We had many memorable times together both at his cabin and ours. In 2002, Tom,Mona,Kyle, and Kayla drove to Nova Scotia in their brand new Dodge Truck (that truck was another story). Tom and I spent a fun filled rainy day attempting to put some wooden chairs together with probably the worst instructions one could ask for. Nothing a few beers couldn't fix. We had some memorable campfires as well. Tom was always worried when Brooke came to his cabin, as you never knew what could end up in the fire with Brooke around. Brooke always admired Tom's career because as a kid that's all he wanted to do...drive trains like his grandfathers and uncles did. Ironic that most of Linda's uncles were in the railroad as well. So we say goodbye to a good friend and a good man. He is now at the controls of a Locomotive on Heaven's rails with nothing but clear sign boards! God love Tommy,Mona, and Family. - Posted by: Linda Lawrence and Brooke Lawrence (Niece and Buddy Brooke) on: Aug 30, 2016

  • Tom, I'm going to miss your joyful laughter. The way you'd tease Tracey or Mona. The way your eyes would light up when you spoke of the family, especially the kids. The late night around the fire teaching me some of life's lessons. I will never forget the words you spoke to me and I promise to live true by them. Thank you Tom for accepting me into your family without judgement. I promise to love them, share your stories with them and honor your memory. You were always so kind to me and mine. I will never forget you. Until we meet again my friend, keep those Kokanees cold for me!! Rest Easy ❤❤ - Posted by: Tina Rielly (Family Friend) on: Aug 29, 2016
