Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAILEEN GAIL EYOLFSON (nee HOOPER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother. With her family by her side on Tuesday August 23, 2016, Gail passed away at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. She was born in Winnipeg on May 26, 1939, the daughter of Norman and Nellie Hooper. She is survived by her brothers, Tom (Toronto) and Bob (Winnipeg); as well as her four children, Norman (Toronto), Warren (Vancouver), Lori VanderMeer (Ile des Chenes) and Janis Stern (Winnipeg); and thirteen grandchildren Meaghan, Kaitlin , Kyle, Kirsten, Lauren, Emily, Caleb, Grace, Tessa, Fiona, Beatrice, Hannah and Julia. The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses at the CancerCare unit at St. Boniface Hospital as well as the nurses and doctors at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. A graveside service will be held at the St. James Cemetery on Monday August 29 at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg (please specify donations to go directly to transportation unit) or donate blood at Canadian Blood Services.
