Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVIVIAN GRACE RAMSAY (nee SAMPLE) On August 26, 2016, Vivian Grace Ramsay (nee Sample) quietly passed from this life to the next. Her life is celebrated by her beloved husband of 40 years, Alexander Dow Ramsay, in addition to her three children, Laura, Jim and Lisa McQuillan, Alex's family, relatives and countless friends. While she lived in many parts of the country though her life, she returned to her childhood home of Winnipeg (Fort Garry) to enjoy her last days. After the death of her first husband, Lt. Col. Robert Douglas McQuillan, she settled in Fort Garry to raise her children in a familiar environment, working at the University of Manitoba in several roles, including her much enjoyed time with St. Paul's College. Vivian taught business education classes at community college, and put her passion for yoga into teaching recreational classes. Ten years later, fate stepped in when she met Alex, who became her life partner. Together they made a life full of love and adventure, from wintering in Florida to retirement on Vancouver Island. Vivian is always and shall be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, bursting into jazz classics, and unique and timeless sense of style and love of art. Most of all, Vivian is cherished for what she brought to our lives. Funeral will be held on Thursday, September 1 at the Fort Garry United Church - 800 Point Rd. at 11:00 a.m.
