DOROTHY PROULX Peacefully with her family by her side, Mom, Dorothy Proulx passed away at the Rehab Health Science Centre an August 29, 2016 at the age of 71 years. She was predeceased by her parents Malvina and Raymond Blais; sister Martha (Albert) Poels; brother Ted Blais; as well as in-laws, Romeo and Clarisse Proulx, and Jeanette Hein. Dot will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Al; her children, Debbie (Norm), Jackie (Joe), Raymond (Tanya) and Ken (Irene). Her grandchildren, Krystle, Colin, Michael, Kimberley, Michelle, Rayelle, Josh, Eric, Bryce, Chelsey, Ashley, Madi and Jayden; plus her 10 great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law, Lena (Al), Fleurette; brothers-in-law, Marcel (Phyllis) Robert (Misty) and Eddie. As well as many nieces and nephews. Mom was married to our dad (Adelard Proulx) for 53 years. A life of love, devotion and strength for which she held on to get through the many triumphs she endured in her life. Her prayers and beliefs in Jesus got her through times in need as well. As her Aunty Corinne put it best, she was bionic. Mom enjoyed her bingo outings with her friends as much as her family gatherings. Funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The family would like to thank the staff at the Rehab Center 6th floor, also the GA 4th floor Health Science Centre staff for the exceptional care. Cremation has taken place. Pallbearer will be Raymond Proulx In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of choice in her memory.
