ALYCE MCIVOR (LARSON) April 17, 1923 - August 29, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved mother and nanny. Alyce Gertrude Caroline McIvor (nee Larson) was born April 17, 1923 in Brandon, Manitoba. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers: Alder and Jack, and her sister Ella to whom she will always be known as Tootsie'. Alyce is also predeceased by her oldest daughter Carole Harrison. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Terry (Don), Judy (Bill), Iris (Geoff), her 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren as well! Alyce worked at Motor Coach for 30 years before she retired in 1988. In retirement Alyce enjoyed Bingo, travel with her children and grandchildren and going for long walks with her beloved dog Brandy. Thanks to the staff at Riverview Health Centre who did a great job of caring for our mother and nanny. Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Hi Terry - I am so sorry to hear about you Mom's passing... I happened to come across this announcement, while trying to find you on FB. Even though we haven't spoken to in years, I'd love to get together for a chat, if/when you are up to it. Arlene - Posted by: Arlene Elendiuk (friend on Terry) on: Aug 06, 2017

  • Your mother, grandmother, was a kind and sweet woman. When we were young I remember how I admired her raising four girls and always being so grounded. She had a beautiful smile. Thoughts and prayers are with you all. Georgina Gordon - Posted by: Georgina Gordon (Friend ) on: Sep 06, 2016

  • Our deepest condolences to family. Will remember her with warm happy memories. Bill and Jean and family - Posted by: Bill and Jean Parker and Family (Nephew) on: Sep 03, 2016

  • She was a lovely person who brought much laughter and happiness when ever she visited. I will always remember her for her smiles and laughter. She loved to dance and was very easy to talk to. The last time I talked to her, with a laugh, she said where are all the Parkers why don't they visit. I visited her a few years back but wished I would have contacted her a lot sooner. Our thoughts are with her family. Take care. Love Gail and David - Posted by: Gail Suddards (niece) on: Sep 03, 2016
