REMEDIOS RESURRECCION VENTURA January 5, 1935 - September 23, 2016 On Friday, September 23, 2016 Remedios passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence, with her family by her side. She was born in Bicol, Philippines, and met her late husband Catalino Ventura in Ilocos Sur where they settled down and started their family. She came to Winnipeg, Manitoba in June 1982 along with her children where she would spend most of her time caring for her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Luisa (John) Mumds in Victoria, BC, Erlinda (Edgardo) Ramos, Gloria (Pedro) Edrada in the Philippines, Carmen (Rodolfo) Lucero, Rogelio (Lorna) Ventura, Ferdinand (Helen) Ventura, Manny (Emie) Ventura, Mila (Wazir) Haniff, Rowena (Loreto) Martinez, 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, brother Alfredo Resurreccion, and sisters Mely Marcelino, Salome Cortez, and Corazon Reyes all from the Philippines, Delia Ventura in Toronto, ON, Tessie Baris, and Aida Puffer in Iowa, U.S.A. Our family would like to sincerely thank the staff at St. Joseph's Residence for the care and support they have given our mother. Viewing (Lamay) will be on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, Manitoba.
