Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryESTHER HOFER January 2, 1929 October 14, 2016 Esther Hofer peacefully passed away October 14, 2016, with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Ben, her son Ben Jr. and her daughters, Esther and Maggie. She is survived by her remaining children, Jerry (Ginette), Mike (Kathy), Rick, Helen, Rob, Dalia (Glen), Jonty, son-in-law Jerry Heide, 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Esther was born in Elie, Manitoba, to Michael and Margaret Gross, and married Ben Hofer on July 3, 1949. Her first love was her family. The family gatherings she had on many occasions will be treasured forever. Mom had a spirit and energy that touched the lives of all that knew her. She loved her grandchildren very much and they adored her. Mom had a special relationship with her sons and daughters-in-law. She loved them and always enjoyed their company. Her large church family was always remembered fondly as it was a big part of her life. Mom's faith and belief never wavered. Thanks to the wonderful staff at the St. Norbert Care Home for making Mom feel welcome and at home during her short stay. We'd also like to thank the Home Care workers for their compassionate care. Mom made some special friends with both. There will be a private memorial service to celebrate Esther's life. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. I remember this aunt of mine as always working tirelessly for her family. She always made me feel welcome whenever I had an extended stay with the family. She never liked me play fighting with Rob though. Our sincere condolences to the family - Posted by: Isaac Hofer (Nephew) on: Oct 20, 2016
