DOREEN MAUDE (nee SKINNER) With sadness, the family announces the peaceful passing of Doreen, on October 14, 2016, at the age of 94, at Golden Door Personal Care Home. Doreen is predeceased by her husband Frank, brother Bernard and grandson Zachary. She is survived by her sons, Chris (Lynn) and Richard (Kate and Della); grandchildren, Greg, Jeff, Derek, Adam and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Chris, Crystal, Sedra and Ember; along with brother-in-law Michael (Miriam). She was born in England and moved to Winnipeg when she was 32. Her and Frank were married for 45 years and they married on Christmas Day in 1941. Doreen belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star Queen Winnipeg No. 1, WPG Robert Burns Club #197 and a member of Holy Trinity Church, where she donated as much as she could. She made many friends along her journey, while working at Eaton's as a mail order clerk, as well as friends at Golden Door. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. at Henderson Highway.
