Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANLEY JAMES DROZD June 4, 1925 - October 20, 2016 Stanley passed away peacefully at the age of 91, at Carman Memorial Hospital, with family at his side. The family would like to thank Dr. Levin and his staff for their compassionate care during this difficult time. A special thank you to Kathy Hiebert who truly is an angel in disguise. Left to cherish his memory are his children, David (Tammy), Brian (Lori) and Cathy (Bob); and grandchildren, Stephanie, Bryton, Jasmine (Brett), Brent, Brandon, Dustin, Alex, Natasha and Melayna. In July 2013, Stanley was predeceased by his loving wife Bernice (Kwasnicki). Stanley is survived by his sister Millie Kreuz (John). He is also predeceased by his twin brother Joe, brother Mike and sisters: Theresa Pelletier, Mary Dushenko, Sophie Payne and Nellie Willie. On June 4, 1925 "God made a farmer". Stanley was born on the family farm northwest of Fannystelle. It was here that he spent his entire life. He was passionate about everything he did, from working in his garden, to fixing machinery and taking care of his puddy cats and the other farm animals. Dad farmed land in Fannystelle and Stonewall. In his earlier years, he loved to curl and he always loved to watch baseball games on TV. Stanley spent a number of winters in Weslaco, Texas at Pine to Palm trailer park. He loved square dancing and enjoyed being a member of the Red River Valley Pioneer Association. In his more senior years, there was nothing he loved more than watching the crops grow from the seat of his quad. Prayers will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church in Starbuck, MB. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacre Coeur de Jesus Parish in Fannystelle, MB. A reception will follow at the Starbuck Community Hall. David, Tammy and the entire Drozd family..... Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dad, Stanley. I know he held a special place in your heart, David. You always had a large smile on your face whenever you shared about your dad!! May the many memories you have made with him give you comfort now and a lifetime. Know that your McDonald coffee friends share your loss and I hope that brings you some comfort too, David and Tammy.
